Q. Hi Catherine,
I’m always concerned about getting chlorine in my hair from the pool.  What is the best product to use so that I don’t damage my hair?
--Gwen, Victoria

Hi Gwen,
Out of all of the products I have tested, my favourite products for removing chlorine and mineral build up are the Aveda Sun Care Hair and Body Cleanser and the Frederic Fekkai Marine Clean Detox Shampoo.  Both brands are safe to use on your hair to reduce the chemical build up and preserve your hair colour!  They leave your hair silky soft and feeling healthy.

Q. Hi Catherine,
It seems no matter what type of mascara I use, it always smudges on me throughout the day, and I look sloppy.  Do you have a solution for me?
--Katherine, Bolton

Hi Katherine,
I’m not sure which brands of mascara you have tried but if this is a recurring problem, perhaps the issue is that you’re putting too much eye cream on below your eyes, or not leaving enough time for it to dry properly before putting on your mascara.  Another suggestion would be to dab a little powder on your lashes before applying mascara to help hold the mascara better.

Q. Hi Catherine,
How can I prevent ingrown hairs on my bikini line?
--Deborah, Stony Plain

Hi Deborah,
Ingrown hairs are never a pleasant experience.  Before you start removing your hair, you should exfoliate the area with a scrub or loofah to release the trapped hairs.  Also, post shaving or waxing you could put on a tiny treatment that contains salicylic or glycolic acid.
