The annual Golden Globe awards returned Sunday night after taking a year off and there is no doubt about it, the red carpet extravaganza was back and bigger than ever. Christopher Turner takes a look at which leading ladies truly rocked the red carpet at the 66th annual Golden Globe awards.

After months of mediocre red carpet appearances Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker walked the Golden Globe red carpet in a sensational body hugging red satin Reem Acra gown. The mermaid style gown was definitely one of the highlights of the fashionable evening. The actress proved that there really is nothing better than a fantastic red dress on the red carpet. I'm sorry but Blake Lively's dress makes her look a bit chubby. The dress was way too tight around her stomach and it is very unflattering.

Eva Longoria Parker was definitely one of the best dressed and I thought Jennifer Lopez looked terrific on her, but what about SANDRA BULLOCK! In my opinion she was the number 1 best dressed. She was breathtaking, never looked more beautiful. Definitely was a WOW!

there were definatley some bad choices on this list ilsa fischers dress was an ugly color, drew barrymores hair was ugly and that dress color was so gross, and eva mendes dress had that ugly side thing making her hips huge and kate winslets dress was so boring

Really.....Olivia Wilde ...best dressed? The bottom of her dress reminds of old shag carpet bath mats all pinned together. That dress could be re-sown into a new muppet for the muppet show!!

the List is stupid! I thought many of the dresses on the Worst Dressed were gorgeous but there were few on the Best Dressed that were off. i totally don't agree with the guy who made these lists and it seems most people didn't agree with him either! besides, who really cares what some guy thinks about what us women wear!
