Christopher: I am starting to slightly appreciate the absolute camp and theatrics of Lady Gaga’s red carpet costumes…but I am still voting her a Style Loser for wearing this ginormous layered bed sheet. Last week when Gaga hit the annual Brit Awards in London the singer wore this uber-dramatic white tiered Francesco Scognamiglio dress with a white pompadour wig and a lace mask by famed hat designer Philip Treacy. Talk about theatrics! What do you think of the Marie Antoinette getup Steph? Would you ever even consider wearing this?
His Verdict: Style Loser
Steph: Oh, for sure Chris, I was thinking about wearing it out to my local pub on Friday whilst I munch nachos and dissect my week with a few friends. While wearing such a thing to an unremarkable bar may seem outlandish, there’s really nothing sane about wearing it to any event or any venue at all. Like you, I’ve come to respect Gaga’s flare for the insane. But part of me wonders if she’s able to find a look that would be event-appropriate, yet still retain her wild tastes and sensibilities. Now that would be an outfit to applaud for. This? Well, it’s more stage-appropriate than red carpet ready. Also, it’s RIDICULOUS.
