Penelope Cruz
Christopher: One of my stylin’ favourites graced the red carpet last week looking absolutely stunning in a floor-length Gianni Versace gown. The incredible Penelope Cruz arrived at the annual Goya Cinema Awards in Madrid and had all eyes on her wearing this creamy gown. Now, the nominated actress may not have won the “Best Actress” award at the Goyas for her role in Broken Embraces, but she definitely should have won an award for wearing this vintage ivory column gown with vertical signature “Gianni” Versace zippers down the back of the dress. His Verdict: Style Winner
Steph: It’s amazing how a classic shape like this one emerges above the rest thanks to little details like the unique curve of the top of the gown and the gentle dip close to her arm. While I often prefer brighter colours on Penelope, or classic black, it’s hard to argue with this neutral number’s ability to let Penelope’s beauty shine through. Each line of the dress and its colour allow Penelope to wear the dress instead of the other way around. She takes centre stage while the Versace acts as a compliment and an exclamation mark to the poetic line of her beauty! (Heh – look at me getting all fancy-pants today.) Her Verdict: Style Winner (credit: Photo by Fotonoticias/WireImage)
