Steph: Chris, this Gucci gown is sumptuous, elegant, sizzling and fierce (I threw that one in as a treat for you since I know it’s one of your favourite adjectives). Evan caused a bit of a stir at the Fashion Group International Event in New York, according to some blogs anyway, by showing up at the same swanky affair as Dita von Teese. Both ladies are exes of Marilyn Manson and some speculate that the fashionable youngster could potentially have played a role in ending Dita and Marilyn’s marriage. Anyway, that’s neither here nor there. We’re here to focus on fashion, not frivolous things like love triangles. I like to think she caused a stir because of the sheer power of this dress. The fabric, colour and draping are flawless. And while some may question Evan’s romantic choices…they’d be hard pressed to scoff at her taste in designers.
Her Verdict: Style Winner
Christopher: I always love a red dress on the red carpet and I do love this deep red satin Gucci gown that Evan wore last week too Steph! The one sleeve and the gold fringe detailing on the dress are definitely going to throw some peeps off… but I do think that Evan manages to make it all work. She’s channeling some serious old Hollywood …and yes…some serious romantic style here. As for the Evan/Dita run-in…check out Dita’s Twitter account. Apparently the whole story is just not true. Dita, herself says there’s no truth to the reports of endless tears and running out and states that “the proof is in the pictures…my black eyeliner is in perfect place”.
