10. Tilda Swinton
Melissa: I must say, I find Tilda Swinton fascinating. She is a fantastic actress, and that is all that matters to her. I’m sure she couldn’t care less if she was on hundreds of worst-dressed lists and I totally respect that. In last week’s Style Winners & Losers I declared Tilda the most improved of 2008. She has come a long way but, unfortunately, we just couldn’t look past this vampire bat-like silk dress she wore to the 2008 Academy Awards. She looks like she is just waiting to swoop in and suck the photographer's blood.
Christopher: Yes, she is a phenomenal actress, and she proved that when she won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, she totally missed the mark on the red carpet. Tilda Swinton complemented her uber-pale skin and bright red hair with a horrid avant-garde silk satin black Lanvin gown. Way too weird for the glamorous Oscars… but not too weird for the worst dressed list of the year.
